Principal's Message

Welcome to Dry Creek Elementary School! We look forward to building on our success from last year. We have seen the creative side of many of our students and look forward to enhancing and providing more opportunities for all.

It is our goal to put into place many strong instructional goals to reach our Academic Yearly Progress (AYP) goals. The staff at Dry Creek works very hard to meet and exceed these goals as well as focus on improving proficiencies for all students. We have a very committed staff that places students’ needs above anything else.

Dry Creek Elementary School will continue to offer athletic programs for our students as these activities help them develop a greater appreciation for school.

We look forward to much success and fun this year as we lead Dry Creek to continued success.

Mission Statement

Our endeavor is for each member of our school community to respect our Critter Code. By understanding our code each of us feels capable, contributing and connected. We ask each of our students to be personally responsible for their learning in hopes of them becoming self-motivated, life-long learners.

Curriculum Development

All curriculum development in the Twin Rivers Unified School Districtis based on the California State Content Standards and Frameworks. Curriculum guides are updated regularly by the Educational Services Department, to align with the state standards, district goals, and the statewide assessment program.

School Leadership

Leadership at Dry Creek Elementary is a responsibility shared between district administration, the principal, instructional staff, students, and parents. The district’s emphasis is on a well-balanced and rigorous core curriculum at all grade levels. Instructional programs are aligned with state and district standards. Leadership duties were assumed by Principal Sal Garcia. Staff members and parents participate on various committees that make decisions regarding the priorities and direction of the school plan to ensure instructional programs are consistent with students’ needs and the school plan complies with district goals.

Parent & Community Involvement

Parents and Guardians are always welcome at Dry Creek School. Families may assist in classrooms, provide materials to classrooms, attend field trips, and participate in special projects. Parents and families are kept informed through weekly newsletters, our web site, and NTI community outreach.
