Family and Community Involvement

Attention Parent Leaders!

Our schools are looking for parents who would be willing to serve on the School Site Council (SSC) for the 2010-2011 school year.  The SSC is a team of site teachers, classified staff and parents working with the site principal to make decisions that promote academic achievement at the site.  Most School Site Councils meet once a month for one hour or more to make key decisions that affect the school.

If you are interested in being a member of the School Site Council at your child's school, now is the time to get involved.  Let your site principal know that you'd be interested in serving and you'll be listed on the school's nomination form.  SSC parent representatives are elected by other parents at the school.
